Sunlight Issues? Wide Dynamic Range Sony Super HAD CCD 600 Line Ultra High Resolution Infrared Bullet Security Camera (36 Infrared Illuminators - See Up to 100 Feet in Complete Darkness)

Product Description

This is NO ORDINARY Infrared Security Camera.

Unlike 99.5% of Infrared Bullet Security Cameras on the market, the CSP-600VFIR offers the new Wide Dynamic Range Sony Super HAD Technology.

So what is a WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) Camera and when do I need one?

Do you have sunlight shining into a window or door? If a security camera is pointed towards a window or an entrance area, you will see the background washed out during daytime. This is a very common situation in restaurants and stores which have large glass windows. To fix this problem, we have introduced WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) technology. The infrared camera is fitted with two CCDs, one high speed CCD and one low speed. The two CCDs take 2 scans of the same image instead of one scan like a typical camera. The first CCD scans the images in normal light condition. After that, the camera scans the second time at high speed to get the image with strong light background. The image processor then combines the two images into one to provide a balanced image which shows the indoors and outdoors clearly. Above there is a comparison of camera technologies with its video images of Regular, Backlight Compensation (BLC), and Wide Dynamic Range.

The CSP-600VFIR-WDR digital color camera features Sony’s latest patented Super HAD™ CCD technology. The camera offers great improvement in low lux performance and literally turns night into day. The CSP-600VFIR-WDR features a high resolution 600 TV line CCD in the desired 1/3-inch format.

Typical color cameras are unable to produce usable images in low light conditions. Sony’s new dual sensor solves this issue. The CSP-600VFIR Sony Super HAD™ technology utilizes an auto-switching CCD that automatically switches to black and white with infrared assist during low lux environments. The camera features a 4-9mm varifocal lens, adjustable from the rear of the camera.

As you will see in our sample above. Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) provides you with much"clearer" images when illumination varies.

This WDR CCTV Security Camera has an Adjustable Vari-focal Lens meaning you can adjust the viewing angle and zoom upon setup. Use a wide angle view for broad coverage or narrow angle for a hallway or cash register. It is simple to adjust the angle and zoom from the back of the camera.

The CSP-600VFIR-WDR day/night color camera provides exceptional night illumination with its high powered array of 36 LED Infrared illuminators. The camera can see up to 100 feet in complete darkness.

Encased in an IP66 (IP Compliant Weatherproof enclosure, the CSP-600VFIR-WDR can operate under a variety of harsh, outdoor environments. Water, dust, and crush resistant glass coating ensures a clear, vivid picture, while the material coating isolates ultra-violet rays ensuring long and stable operation.

What is Sense-Up CCTV Cameras? The main purpose of sense-up is to provide a camera technology that does not rely on artificial light to see in very low light conditions. Cameras with sense up are capable of seeing in near total darkness while retaining full color images.

Whether you need incredible daytime clarity where lighting can be an issue or night time clarity, you can rest assured that this camera will provide you with top performance.

What is Sense-Up CCTV Cameras? The main purpose of sense-up is to provide a camera technology that does not rely on artificial light to see in very low light conditions. Cameras with sense up are capable of seeing in near total darkness while retaining full color images. Security cameras equipped with this technology use an adjustable electronic shutter to vary the amount of light that enters the camera.

In other words, you retain the ability to see in high resolution during daytime, but gain the ability to see at night in stunning clarity and full color. So with our Sense-Up Infrared Cameras, you get the best of both worlds - crisp and clear day and night video!

Most Sense-up cameras have OSD, On-Screen Display. The OSD is used so that the installer can enter the camera programming menus and make adjustments to certain parameters. One of the most important parameters of sense-up cameras is the DSS or Sense-up limit. The limit setting can be set on most cameras anywhere from 2X amplification to 128X amplification. These settings translate directly into the amount of light being allowed into the camera. For example, a 2X setting will allow 2 times more light than a standard digital shutter camera and a 16X setting will allow up to 16 times more light than normal.

What are Wide Dynamic Range CCTV Cameras? The wide dynamic range (WDR) function of a camera is intended to provide clear images even under back light circumstances where intensity of illumination can vary excessively - when there are both very bright and very dark areas simultaneously in the field of view of the camera. WDR enables the capture and display of both bright and dark areas in the same frame, in a way that there are details in both areas, i.e. bright areas are not saturated, and dark areas are not too dark.

In surveillance, WDR allows a camera to filter the intense back light surrounding a subject and thus enhances the ability to distinguish features and shapes on the subject. WDR cameras are usually recommended for situations where light enters a premise from various angles such as a multi-window room.

For example, a camera placed on the inside of the room will be able to see through the intense sunlight or artificial light coming in. If an indoor security camera is pointed towards a window or an entrance door, you will see the background washed out during daytime. This is very common situation in restaurants and stores which have big glass windows.See an example of WDR above under the image.
