Can I use my existing coax cables?
Often, yes. The cable, connectors, run length, and power wiring need to support the new equipment. Our team can help you check what you already have.
How do the cameras connect?
BNC coax connections carry video to the DVR. The cameras receive 12V DC power from the included camera power supplies through the power connections on the camera cables.
Does this system have microphones?
Yes. Each camera has a built-in microphone. Ask our team to confirm the supported camera and DVR audio mode for your configuration.
Do I need internet for the system to record?
The system records locally to the DVR’s hard drive. Internet access is needed to view the system remotely from outside the property.
Can I add more cameras later?
Yes. The included 4-channel DVR has room for 2 additional compatible BNC cameras.
How long will the included 2TB hard drive keep footage?
Recording time depends on the camera count, recording quality, frame rate, and schedule. Tell us how much video history you want to keep and we can help you choose the storage.
