Why does my camera say Offline or No Link?

You can check detailed camera status under:

Menu → Maintenance → System Info → Camera

Common causes listed in the SureVision manual include:

  • Disconnected network connection
  • Incorrect camera username or password
  • Password security issue
  • Insufficient NVR bandwidth
SureVision camera offline No Link troubleshooting walkthrough
I changed my camera password and now the camera is offline.

The password stored in the NVR must match the camera's current login password. Update the camera credentials in the recorder so they match.

Why does my camera keep going online and offline?

Check the network connection and Ethernet cable first. The manual identifies an unstable network connection as a possible cause of repeated camera disconnections.

Why does a camera show No Resource?

The manual recommends using the camera's sub stream for live viewing and, when needed, lowering the sub-stream resolution.

Live video works, but I cannot find recordings.

Check that a recording schedule is configured, verify the recorder's date, time and time zone, make sure the hard drive is operating, and remember that older recordings may have already been overwritten.

Why did my older recordings disappear?

When available recording storage becomes full, the NVR can overwrite the oldest recordings to make room for new video.

  2. Go to Menu → Search → Video → Recording.

Why isn't motion detection working?

Check these settings:

  • Motion detection is enabled.
  • The detection area is configured correctly.
  • Sensitivity is appropriate.
  • The arming schedule includes the desired time.
How do I reduce unwanted motion alerts?

Reduce the detection area to the locations that matter and adjust the sensitivity. Higher sensitivity makes smaller movement easier to detect, but it can also increase unwanted detections.
