Before Installing Guard Station

Make Sure the Recorder Is Online First

✓ Connect the SureVision recorder to your router or network switch with Ethernet
✓ Use the dedicated network/LAN port rather than an isolated PoE camera port
✓ Enable DHCP when appropriate
✓ Check that P2P shows Online or Network Connected
✓ Confirm the network cable is working
✓ Get the system working locally before troubleshooting desktop remote viewing

What SVTools Can Help With

SVTools can locate SureVision IP cameras connected to the same network and display camera information such as IP address and MAC address.

If the camera is connected directly to an NVR PoE network, the computer may also need to be connected to that camera network before SVTools can discover the camera.
